I began my journey into menswear about 25 years ago. My influence has been the style of the “Elegant American Gentleman” - the man who is well-dressed and invests time and money into his wardrobe. He doesn’t subscribe to a script on dressing well, he’s “Finicky”. This has been my influence when I started developing the our menswear collection.
I have been fortunate to have worked for some of the iconic men’s retailers and designers, it’s from those experiences that influenced my entrepreneurial passion of having my the collection showcased here at http://finickey.us . I started my first collection with a handmade neckwear collection under the label Anthony T.
In my eagerness to expand into men’s clothing, I'm developing a capsule collection of menswear under the label FINICKeY. I chose the name FINICKeY to define the “Gentleman who is particular about his wardrobe”. It could be the Cotton/Silk Mogador tie; Calvary Twill trouser or our Chambray Club Collar shirt. Our client looks for those special pieces that aren’t readily available in your typical men’s store. The collections consist of iconic menswear pieces: odd-jackets, blazers, trousers, shirts and neckwear. These items are locally designed and manufactured.
The FINICKeY brand will launch for Fall 2013.
Well done, Mr. Kirby! A line of elegant men’s haberdashery! I am not surprised but am impressed. Love your memoir … And of course your fabrics are beautiful. The best of luck to you!
